Co-Creative Directors Ahlam and Waad Aloqaili return to the image of the butterfly as a captivating motif for rebirth.
Finding inspiration in the deep spiritual bond between them, Into the Dawn is born of the unshakeable love and support between two women during times of darkness, and culminates in a kaleidoscopic celebration of their own sistership.
The collection of six exquisite dresses spans a joyous spectrum of jewel tones akin to a blossoming garden filled with butterflies. Elegant floor-skimming gowns cut from lustrous silks radiate in uplifting shades of amber, coral and turquoise while floods of diamantes and gemstones create streams of shimmering light.
The Creative Directors’ celebratory mood is seen elsewhere in shaping and adornment; asymmetrical and above-the-knee dresses exude playfulness while ostrich feathers and hand-embroidered butterflies ripple with the air as if ready to take flight.
Waad Aloqaili’s launch of Into the Dawn coincides with Sisters’ Day on August 6,2023, a day ordinarily reserved to commemorate our relationships with our female siblings. With this collection, Creative Directors Ahlam and Waad Aloqaili are extending the celebration beyond family ties or friendship. This is for our soul sisters.
